I originally started this blog to talk about my quest to do 30 Bikram yoga classes in 30 days. I was going to start mid-April 2008 then in mid-July 2008, but that didn't happen. Finally did 30 days - April 2, 2009 - May 1, 2009! Also attempted the Bikram101 challenge starting on Jan. 1, 2010. Made it to 54 classes in 60 days. Took some time off from my mat and will now practice (and blog) when I feel like it :)

We started a 20 class challenge yesterday at my studio. I made it through (super rough class) and while it's great to be done with class Numero Uno, 20 feels like forever away. I know I am so much closer already though. I've had a terrible time making the committment to my practice lately, so even if I make it through half the challenge, it will be better than how I've been doing. Trying not to think that way though LOL. We got this!!
Ha! Yeah, I had the same thought - well, even if I don't make it to 30, at least I'm starting! But there is a bit of extra motivation this time - my studio is giving out special t-shirts to students who complete the entire challenge. I WANT A T-SHIRT! :)
I love this! I stumbled upon this blog via Google. I'm starting Bikram yoga again, after about... a 2 year break. I know, SO BAD.
I can't help but wonder if you practice yoga in Seattle, next to the water. It's been a couple of years, but I used to take the 30 bus there! I went to UW for college. Interesting that maybe we have been in classes before!
I hope you'll continue to blog, as it will definitely motivate (and make me feel better that we are both sharing the pain/tough love) me! Keep up the great work and good luck :)
I used to practice at the studio by the water so yes, maybe we were in class together! Now I practice up on the hill, but there are a couple of teachers who teach at both studios. I was actually thinking of that tonight because the teacher I had for class has been my teacher for almost 5 years (off and on.)
I definitely understand needing a break - that has happened for me, too. Welcome back to your mat and thanks for the comment :)
